Intel Arc Alchemist (A-Series)

Intel Arc Alchemist (2022) is Intel's first discrete GPU architecture since the Larrabee era, manufactured on TSMC N6. Alchemist introduces Xe-HPG (high-performance gaming) compute units with 16 FP32 shaders per Xe-core, hardware ray tracing acceleration (Xe Ray Tracing Units, 1 per Xe-core), XeSS AI upscaling using Intel XMX matrix units, AV1 hardware encode+decode (a first for mainstream GPUs), and full DirectX 12 Ultimate feature support. The flagship Arc A770 (16GB GDDR6) and A750 compete with NVIDIA RTX 3060 and AMD RX 6600 XT at mainstream price points. Arc mobile GPUs appear in select thin-and-light laptops from Asus, HP, and Lenovo.
