Intel Turbo Boost Max Technology 3.0

Intel Turbo Boost Max Technology 3.0 (TBMT3) extends standard Turbo Boost 2.0 by identifying the top 1–2 highest-quality CPU cores during manufacturing characterisation and permanently flagging them in firmware. The OS driver preferentially routes single-threaded workloads to these "favored cores," which can sustain an additional 200–300 MHz above standard Turbo Boost 2.0 all-core-off frequencies. TBMT3 requires an Intel-provided driver on Windows that advertises favored core identity to the scheduler. Found on Intel Core i9 and select i7 SKUs from Skylake-X (Core X, Broadwell-E) through 14th gen Core i9 desktop.
